More Reasons to Visit Lake Tahoe This Summer
Lake Tahoe offers dozens of beaches to lounge on, a growing craft beer scene & more live music than you can imagine!

Thousands of people visit Lake Tahoe each year for the breathtaking scenery, endless adventure, expansive views of the mountains and more than 300 days of sunshine. We recommend that you join in on the fun, because once you arrive, dig into all the beauty and adventure that exists, you’ll find yourself in Awe ‘and then’ some!

Plan a few extra days into your next trip to South Lake Tahoe, especially when you’re heading up for the 5th Annual Tahoe Brewfest. You’ll want that extra time to rest, recover & explore! In this week’s feature, we’ll be focused on one of the unexpected reasons to visit Lake Tahoe, the live music!

The Live Music

South Lake Tahoe hosts a wide variety of live music, from free weekly concerts on the beach to music in the park, under the Heavenly gondola and the big names on the Harvey’s Outdoor Arena stage, there is a lot of live music to enjoy!

Live at Lakeview Summer Music Series

Every Thursday through August 25th, you can enjoy free live music on the shoreline of South Lake Tahoe at the Live at Lakeview Summer Music Series. You can enjoy a wide variety of food trucks, shop with local businesses and enjoy a cold beer from Firestone Walker Brewery with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe as top regional and local acts perform on a stage setup on the beach.

The same great team who’s in charge of producing the Tahoe Brewfest puts on these shows and the grand finale event just so happens to be the Thursday before the big event! Coincidence? A perfect excuse to extend your weekend visit to Lake Tahoe? We’ll let you decide.

Valhalla Tahoe

One of the most unique live music experiences in Lake Tahoe takes place at the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre. Inside this cultural resource, visitors are treated to views of the lake behind the performers through floor to ceiling windows. The interior, preserved with exposed beams from the original building, creates an experience unrivaled in performing arts venues.

Valhalla hosts a Summer Concerts Series every summer, monthly Improv shows, a Play the first two weekends in July and the annual WordWave one-act play competition in September. You can get the full schedule of events here to plan your next trip.

Music in the Park

This free live music concert series is hosted in the charming community park of Tahoe Paradise. All of the events are free, family friendly and an opportunity to donate funds to enhance the already incredible park amenities. Each event includes live music, food trucks, raffle prizes, kids treasure hunt and more in a spectacular atmosphere off the beaten trail

Check out the full Music in the Park schedule of events here.

Heavenly Village Summer Concert Series

South Lake Tahoe’s most frequent summer concert series happens most Friday, Saturday, and holiday sundays at the Heavenly Village. The free shows in this series are held on the stage between the Fire and Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern restaurants from 5:45 p.m to 9:15 p.m. Check out the full schedule of events here.

Harvey’s Outdoor Arena
What other Brewfest is followed up by an outdoor Eric Church concert? Thanks to the allstar lineup at the Harvey’s Outdoor Arena, Lake Tahoe is packed with top-level performers including The Chainsmokers, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Train, Robert Plant and many more!
